Note from Lionel Menchaca, Chief Blogger
Hello and welcome to the Direct2Dell blog. Thanks for tuning in.
My name is Lionel and I am the Chief Blogger for Direct2Dell. I’ve been a fan of technology since middle school and am old enough to say I have used a Commodore 64, Amiga, TRS-80, and the Apple IIe. I started as a Dell employee back in 1993 and my first Dell machine in those days was our first Pentium-based product — the XPS P60. I became the multimedia guru in our group because I was the first tech that had a sound card and a CD-ROM drive in a home system. In the years since then, I’ve worked in most of Dell’s product areas. In a lot of ways, my time here has prepared me for this job.
For a bit more insight, take a look at my 5 Things post.
Enough about me. Our goal is to build Direct2Dell into a community that’s driven by direct communication. We hope to provide you insights into Dell and the employees that drive the company forward. To do that, we’re prepared to address a variety of topics, and of course, we welcome your comments on every one of them. If you like something, please tell us. If you don’t, please tell us that too.
I can promise that your comments and feedback will shape the content in this blog.
