DDPM high RAM usage on MAC OS

The DDPM is consuming high part of available RAM on my MAC with M2Pro Chip. Actually more then 5 GB and the value is rising from day to day till more then 200 GB...

This is no unknown problem as can be seen in different postings like:

When will be a fixed version or a workaround other then deinstalling DDPM be available?
